All events are held at the Boonah Cultural Centre.

ART EXHIBITION
All week 9am – 1pm  – Free Entry
All the art entries from the art competition.  Many are for sale.  Enter the raffle and vote for the People’s Choice Award.

BIG BAND CONCERT
Saturday 31st August  1.30-3pm
The Boonah Community Band comes together with a guest band in a spectacular orchestral concert from the 1812 overture to Abba.

MURDER AT MOORSTONES MANOR
Saturday 31st August  7 – 9pm
Enjoy a Ripping Yarn at this staged radio play production written by Michael Palin and Terry Jones.  Performed by Boonah Playmakers.

JOURNALLING
Monday 2nd September  10am – 12 noon
A key to creative writing’. By Vicki Bennett, a bestselling author of 35 books for adults and young people.

WRITING A CHILDREN’S BOOK
Monday 2nd September   1 – 3pm
Learn all about writing a children’s book with Vicki Bennett, author of 32 books including “I’ve Found the Keys, Now Where’s the Car?”  and “Programme to Succeed”.

EMBELLISH IT
Tuesday 3rd September  3.30 – 4.30pm
Take all the trimmings and a whole lot of baubles and beads and bling up an art canvas to hang on your wall.
Everything supplied including canvas, glue and serious bling.

CURING BARK AND LEAVES
Tuesday 3rd September  7 – 8.30pm
How to combine different art forms to create a masterpiece with award winner Patrick Moore.

ROMANCE WRITING
Wednesday 4th September  10 – 12 noon
Writing short romance fiction (and what to do when you’re finished)’ By Sofia Aves, a USA TODAY bestselling romantic suspense author. An interactive workshop where writers will develop their setting, characters and begin plotting/writing their short piece.

THE GREAT COMEDY DEBATE
Wednesday 4th September  7pm
Funny?  Some of Boonahs’ funniest characters debating “The generation gap is a myth”.
Includes the All Saints Choir and young public speaking winners.

MIXED MEDIA
Thursday 5th September 10 – 11.30am
Join award winning artist Glen Smith in a fun workshop using plastic bags and acrylic paint to create a masterpiece.  Includes all supplies.

SIP and PAINT
Thursday 5th September 7 – 8.30pm
Try your hand at painting and have fun at this social event.  Includes a pre drawn canvas, paints, artist instructions and a glass of wine, beer or soft drink.

YOUTH SHOWCASE
Friday 6th September 6.30 – 8.30pm
A highly entertaining magical night, event featuring local children aged from 4 years performing and dancing in this special event. Fantastic props.  Music the kids love.

FESTIVAL FINALE
Saturday 7th September   7 – 9pm
A night to celebrate the creative festivities of the Festival including the stunning outfits designed and modelled in this night of fashion and wearable art, the presentation of the Art and Writing prizes, plus entertainment from local young musicians, Boonah High School Rock Band and much more.

At the door by cash or card except for the Festival Finale, which are available at the Cultural Centre box office or online at Creative Events

All other tickets (General Admission)
Adults – $10; Members – $5 
Full Time Students and  Children Under 12 – Free (tickets are still required.)
