RED RIM COMBINED BANDS CONCERT

An opportunity to hear three spectacular Community Bands from Boonah and Redland City playing a ‘bright’ program for all music lovers.  The grand finale will be all three bands combining for two outstanding pieces.

Monday 5 September

BLING THAT THING

Choose from a variety of objects like a left shoe, kitchen utensil, wine glass or bring your own item to ‘Bling That Thing’.  All glue and bling supplied or bring your own sparkle with you.

ASHE LAWRANCE MEMORIAL YOUNG BLING

Take a whole lot of ‘sequins’ and ‘glitter’ and bling up a calico waistcoat.  Everything supplied including apron, glue and serious bling.

MIXED MEDIA DRAWING WORKSHOP

Mixed media drawing from absolute beginners to experienced artists using a wide variety of drawing mediums including pastels, inks and mark making implements.  Create a still life with award winning Nika Norman from Frog Hollow Studios.

THE GREAT COMEDY DEBATE

A ‘sparkling’ debate with some of Fassifern’s funniest characters ‘shining’ a light on a not so serious topic.

FASHION SHOW & FESTIVAL AWARDS

Dazzling handmade outfits, shimmering gowns and wonderful creations glisten this night of fashion and wearable art.  This night includes the presentation of the winners of the Art and Writing Awards. Surprises and entertainment too.

Art Viewing – All Week

Artworks, sculptures and photography all beautifully exhibited at the Boonah Cultural Centre.

Purchase a raffle ticket to make your selection in the coveted People’s Choice Award.

Sunday 4 – Saturday 10 September
Art Viewing is open from 9am – 1pm daily. Free Entry.

All events are held at the Boonah and District Cultural Centre, 3 High Street Boonah.

The Ritchies Boonah Arts Festival is about promoting the cultural heart of the community. It gives everyone an opportunity to display their talent in the art, writing, and fashion competitions, or on stage in lively and entertaining shows.

 

Get involved: onstage, backstage, social media, logistics, clerical, or general help. Make friends and contribute to the economic and social wellbeing of the community. It’s lots of fun.
